Using Test Chart 2016

Test Chart 2016 is capable of generating a huge range of test charts and stimuli and the choice may seem a bit bewildering to the new user. However, most users report that they feel completely confident using the program within a day or two.

Test Chart 2016 includes both Distance Vision tests (usually displayed on a wall-mounted monitor at approximately 6 metres) and Near Vision test (displayed on a Tablet linked to the PC using iDisplay).  The major test groups are as follows:

Most of the test groups include a number of tests and most tests have numerous options.

Despite the large number of tests and options, we have worked very hard to keep the user interface simple and intuitive.  Test Chart 2016 offers a variety of options for controlling the Test Chart including:
