Near DSE Tests
The DSE tests are displayed by selecting the DSE icon on the Primary toolbar or pressing F5 on the keyboard or X Cyl on the remote control handset.
An increasing proportion of patients attending for eye examinations use computers. Trying to assess the vision of such patients and determine the optimum prescription for viewing their computer screen is not easy using a conventional near chart. The DSE tests allow the clinician to use a tablet to simulate the user's normal workstation thus providing a realistic and comprehensive assessment of the patient's visual performance when viewing a display screen.
There are two display options DSE mode:
The two test configurations may be selected by selecting the corresponding buttons on the Secondary Toolbar or pressing 1 or 2 on the keyboard. Alternatively, pressing the Horizontal Control keys on the keyboard or remote rotates around the three test options.
