The Right and Left eye horizontal panel shows the horizontal position of the right and left eyes side by side. This allows anomalies of binocular co-ordination/convergence to be readily identified.

Raw data:  If this option is selected, the raw horizontal eye position data are displayed

Model data: If this option is selected, modeled data is displayed. The modeled data is created using an algorithm developed by Thomson Software Solutions which uses a variety of parameters to identify the beginning and end of each saccade and fixation. The algorithm then creates model data consisting entirely of fixtations and saccades, thus removing much of the "noise"

The modeled data is then used to measure the duration of each fixation and the size of each saccade.  This information is displayed in the treeview control.

For reading eye movements, each row of text read is identified by the large right to left saccade at the end of each row.  The metrics for each fixation and saccade are then displayed for each row.  Clicking on the fixation or saccade identified in the treeview will automatically move the cursor to the corresponding time in each of the traces.

Separation: By default, the traces for the right and left eyes are displaced to allow the relative movements of the two eyes to be assessed.  The separation can be adjusted using the Up/Down control.
