Vertical disparity panel
The Vertical disparity panel shows the difference in position of the right and left eyes.
The y axis shows the difference in the position of the right and left eyes in units of prism dioptres.
The data can be replayed using the Playback control. The cursor will move to the current time and the current horizontal disparity (in prism dioptres) will be shown below the chart.
Incorrect calibration can sometime result in the recordings for the two eyes showing a constant disparity when none actually exists. Checking the Zero check box will calculate the average disparity throughout the entire recording and subtract this from each data point, reducing the average offset to zero. This feature should be used with caution and only when the clinician is confident that the offset is an artifact
