Pupil size and blinks
The Pupil Size and Blinks panel shows the pupil size as a function of time for the Right (Red) and Left (Green) eyes.
The amber trace shows possible blinks. A blink is recorded when the data stream for the right and left pupils is interrupted for a certain period of time. This trace is prone to a number of artifacts so must be interpreted with a degree of caution. For example, a poor quality recording might result in an interruption to the pupil data stream and result in an overestimate in blink rate. Conversely, flick blinks may be missed by the algorithm and result in an underestimate of blink rate.
The y axis shows the pupil diameter in mm.
The data can be replayed using the Playback control. The cursor will move to the current time and the current pupil size will be shown below the chart.
