The Letter Saccade test  presents regular arrays of letters or numbers which can be used to generate a systematic series of saccadic eye movements of a given amplitude and direction.



The Amplitude scroll bar sets the angular separation of the two sets of characters (calculated using the screen size and viewing distance information entered from the Options screen).


The Line spacing slider sets the spacing between the characters in the same row or column.


The Font size and Font controls set the size and font style of the characters.


No. of rows determines the number of characters in each row or column.


The Text options pull-down list contains a range of options for the characters including Sequential letter pairs, Sequential letters, Random letter pairs, Random letters, Sequential number pairs, Sequential numbers, Random number pairs, Random numbers.


The pairs of letters may be arranged horizontally or vertically using the Horizontal and Vertical radio buttons.



My Settings


To save a specific stimulus configuration so that it can be used again, select Add current in the My Settings panel.  Enter a name for this stimulus configuration and select OK.  This name will be added to the list and selecting this name in future will automatically display the corresponding stimulus configuration.


A stimulus configuration may be deleted from the list by selecting it and the selecting Delete.
