Sharing a database

In order to share the database between more than one Binocular Vision Analyser the database can be saved on a shared drive on a network.

To do this:

• Connect the PC to the network and create a shared drive.  
• Map the shared drive so that it is assigned a drive letter e.g. Z:
• Select Settings then the Database tab

• To create a new database on the shared drive, select New
• Navigate to the the shared drive and add a name for the new database.  Click on Save
• Click on Test Connection to check that a connection has been established with the new database.

Sharing pdfs

In order to share pdfs of reports with others across a network, pdfs can be saved automatically on a shared drive on a network.

• Connect the PC to the network and create a shared drive.  
• Map the shared drive so that it is assigned a drive letter e.g. Z:
• Select Settings then the General tab

• Click on Browse in the pdf Report directory group.
• Navigate to the the designated directory on the shared drive and click on Save
• pdfs will now be saved in this directory by default
