A trace showing the first differential (velocity) of the X position (horizontal) and Y position (vertical) traces can be added to the display by selecting Velocity in the toolbar. The velocity trace is displayed in Red as shown below.



The velocity trace is useful for detecting saccadic eye movements and is used as part of the algorithm for creating the Model Gaze trace.
