EChart 2000 is an electronic test chart incorporating a high quality 15 inch LCD display and IR remote control unit. The charts and test stimuli are stored on a 2GB SD card and can be accessed sequentially or via an on-screen menu.

CHARTS AND VISION ASSESSMENT TOOLS

Snellen charts: The Snellen chart remains the most popular chart design among some clinicians. A range of different optotypes are available in Snellen format including British, Sloan, Sheridan-Gardner, Landolt Cs, Tumbling Es, Lea symbols, Lea numbers and Kaye pictures.

|
LogMAR charts: The LogMAR chart is a superior design to the Snellen chart and has been used in research laboratories for many years. An increasing number of clinicians are making the switch and it is likely that this chart format will become the standard in years to come. A wide range of optotypes are available in LogMAR format.

|
Single letter charts: It is sometimes easier to show a single letter, particular when dealing with children and those with learning difficulties. Single letter charts in a range of Optotypes are available, with and without crowding bars.
|
|
|
Cross-cyl targets: A range of targets are available for use during the cross-cylinder test. Targets include rings and dots of different sizes, which may be shown singly or in pairs.

|
|
Duochrome tests: The duochrome test provides a rapid method for assessing patients’ refractive status. A range of duochrome stimuli are available for the EChart
|
|
|
|
Fixation disparity tests: A horizontal and vertical fixation disparity test can be displayed on the EChart. (requires red and green visors £22)
|
|
|
Fixation targets: Over 200 different images are available for fixation including photographs, cartoons and a selection of spots and crosses.
|
|
|
UK number plate tests: The "number" plate test remains the only statutory test of vision required for driving in the UK. A range of number plate images exactly replicating front and rear number plates (scaled for the required viewing distance) are available.
